Abundance is an interesting book about economics and politics from a Democratic point of view in the year 2025. The authors cover housing shortages, immigration, climate change and a whole lot more. They say the crisis that’s clicking into focus now has been building for decades—because we haven’t been building enough.
They point out that rules and regulations designed to solve the problems of the 1970s often prevent urban-density and green-energy projects that would help solve the problems of the 2020s.
This is a very interesting read particularly if you are a conservative like me. It is a good indication of how the other side is thinking plus you will likely learn a lot and may even change your thinking on some issues.
From The Wall Street Journal “A raging political fad has taken over the Democratic Party….The Abundance movement cuts across the party’s ideological fissures….Democratic politicians are rushing to embrace the new mantra.”
